ecocycle

ecocycle is my senior thesis project, developed over the course of a year and presented at the Roski Portfolio Exposition. Grounded in material research and experimentation, the project explores the possibilities of biodegradable textiles within fashion.

Through iterative testing, I adapted a biotextile formula using agar, glycerine, water, and indigo dye to develop a custom material, which I molded into more than 600 individual hearts and assembled by hand into the final garment.

Positioned between sculpture and garment, ecocycle reflects on care, impermanence, and circularity in fashion, exploring how what we wear might ultimately return to the environment rather than remain as waste.
