Wild Root

The Wild Root Collection brings together three distinct yet cohesive pieces: Waveform (Bowl), Common Ground (Charcuterie Board), and Etched Earth (Coasters), all crafted from richly toned purple heart and lati wood. Waveform, measuring 10 × 10 × 5.5 inches, was meticulously shaped on a lathe, with over 45 hours dedicated to woodturning alone to create a refined yet organic form. Common Ground, sized at 8 × 13 × 0.875 inches, was constructed by cutting leftover purple heart and lati wood planks into thin horizontal sheets, carefully stacking and gluing them before sending the piece through a CNC machine to engrave and precisely cut the final design. Completing the collection, Etched Earth consists of 4 × 4 × 0.175 inch coasters that were laser cut and textured to emphasize the collection’s natural, layered aesthetic. Together, the collection reflects a deep respect for naturally occurring materials and the quiet beauty found in natural forms.
